Painting the Male Portrait (in 3/4) - One Day - 5-30-23

One Day Online Workshop - 6 hours

Online via Zoom, a one day 6 hour demo in painting the Female portrait.

May 30th 2023 (Tuesday) - starting at 10am - 5pm Mountain Time, One hour for lunch.

The workshop will be recorded and available online to view without limit.

All reference photos are provided digitally. We will be painting Raven from the drawing workshop last year.

In depth discussion of structure, proportions, shape, surface, form, color, texture.
The focus of this course will be on advanced painting methods to investigate the underlying rhythm, expression and emotion of the Male Portrait(in 3/4). Students will work to develop clarity of vision that is essential for accurate observation; learning to focus on what is in front of us without being overwhelmed.

An emphasis will be placed on understanding the structure of the model, as well as the artist’s analysis and interpretation. All questions will be answered both visually, as well as demonstrated.
